In other news: Hillary Clinton to lead U.S. delegation to Vaclav Havel funeral; Lou Reed remembers late Czech leader
Hillary Clinton will lead the official U.S. delegation to the funeral of Vclav Havel, the White House announced Thursday. The secretary of state will be joined by Bill Clinton they hosted the late former president of the Czech Republic at a 1998 state dinner as well as Madeleine Albright and Ambassador Norman Eisen, the U.S. envoy in Prague. Will Lou Reed attend the Friday ceremony as well? The former Velvet Underground frontman who had a longtime mutual admiration society with the former Velvet Revolution leader eulogized Havel on his blog this week as great great man who was necessary more than ever in a world gone mad. I would so much have loved to bring him up to date on Occupy. I admired him before all others.
