Romney Attack Ad Features Hillary Clinton
GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's campaign has quietly released a new ad in Virginia and other key states calling President Obama's ads "vicious lies" and supporting the claim with the help of Hillary Clinton.
The 30-second ad, titled "Shame on You," shows footage of Clinton, Obama's rival for the Democratic nomination in 2008, accusing Obama of spending "millions of dollars perpetuating falsehoods" in their hotly contested nomination battle.
"Shame on you, Barack Obama," Clinton says in the footage. Clinton is now Obama's secretary of state.
The ad also makes use of a recent Washington Post fact check that calls an Obama campaign ad accusing Romney of outsourcing jobs during his time with Bain Capital as "misleading, unfair and untrue."
FactCheck.org also found no evidence to support the ad's claims.
Romney's new ad, released this morning with no announcement from the campaign, unlike other ads, is reportedly airing in Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and North Carolina.
