Anthony Weiner's Comeback Needs a Hillary 2016 Win

Want more proof that Hillary Clinton is running in 2016? Anthony Weiner, the former congressman and current reigning king of political sex scandals on Twitter, isn't just filing papers and spending a lot of money on his run for New York mayor he's still bitter and apparently planning the demise of Nancy Pelosi, a scenario that he somehow thinks will only happen when a Clinton is president again."Weiner has recently been telling pals that 'whenHillaryis president,' he will get his revenge,"a source tells theNew York Post's Page Six.Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, is a longtime Clinton aide and would probably know better than anybody but Bill if Hillary is planning a 2016 presidential campaign. And apparently, if Clinton were to win the presidency,one of the first things on her list... would be to help avenge Anthony Weiner?

The "revenge" in question is apparently going to involveHouse Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who Weinersupposedly blames for his downfall she urged him to resign in June 2011. "I am deeply disappointed and saddened about this situation; for Anthonys wife, Huma, his family, his staff and his constituents,"Pelosi said in a statement at the time, calling for an ethics investigation of the then- congressman. "Weiner is still fuming over his downfall, and he blames Nancy Pelosi," Page Six's source says.And we get that it's Page Six, butthat's all sort of misguided right? It wasn't Pelosi who sent Weiner's naughty selfies to a 17-year-old girl.Weiner's reps have denied the Page Six report.

The thing to take away here is that, well, if these whispers about Weiner's vindictive streak really have anything to do with Weiner's comeback into politics, we may have a heated campaign on our hands before 2016. We found out late on Friday that Weiner has already spent $115,000 figuring if the numbers are there for his comeback to begin as New York mayor, which is already shaping up to be a tough 2014 battle with the likes of Christine Quinn.And if Weiner's political hopes beyond that are contingent on Clinton's presidency,which at this point would looks so so strong she'd be silly not to at least try, then it looks more and more like Weiner is going somewhere. Well, that and the fact that the guy is already getting smeared in thePost before he runs that should count for something.
